Horror Territory Theme Park

An undergraduate thesis exploring how architecture can evoke fear through atmosphere, lighting and form. Drawing on horror cinema, the project analyses how scale, confinement, contrast and sensory distortion create psychological tension, and translates those cinematic techniques into space.

The resulting theme park is divided into four zones, each built around a type of fear identified in the research: a fear simulator for the weird, a maze and a labyrinth battlefield for the paranoid, a slime world for the disgusting, and a haunted illusion house for mystery. Together they propose a new kind of entertainment venue that blurs the line between fear and fun.
