Tree’Shade Park

A community-centred urban park in Chiang Mai, designed for a volunteer architect competition. Conceived as a "lung" for the city, the design preserves the site's existing trees and threads new functional, educational and recreational spaces between them.

Seven zones are arranged along a winding route: a student waiting area, a pond, a sculpture garden, a playground, an activity area, a learning botany area and a community meeting space, each shaded by the retained canopy.

Axonometric master plan of the park with its seven zones, vignettes of the playground, learning botany area, community meeting area and student waiting area, and the west elevation
